La Catequesis del Buen Pastor

La Catequesis del Buen Pastor
es un acercamiento a la formación religiosa de los niños. Esta basada en la Biblia, la Liturgia y en los principios de educación Montessori. Los niños se reúnen en un “atrio” lugar preparado para ellos, el cual tiene materiales simples, pero hermosos que ellos pueden utilizar.

Te puedes preguntar, ¿cómo es que estos materiales ayuden a la vida religiosa de los niños? Si un adulto escucha algún pasaje hermoso de la Biblia, el podría tomar la Biblia, buscar el pasaje y leerlo despacio una y otra vez. Puede pensar profundamente sobre estas palabras e iniciar una conversación con Dios de una manera confiada o de agradecimiento. Pero un niño pequeño, tal vez demasiado pequeño para leer, necesita otro medio. En el atrio el niño puede contemplar un pasaje bíblico o alguna oración de la Liturgia tomando el material que habla de ese pasaje y trabajando con el; ya sea moviendo figuras hechas de madera como ovejas en el redil del Buen Pastor, colocando las figuras de los apóstoles alrededor de la Ultima Cena o preparando un pequeño altar con los objetos que se usan en la Eucaristía. Los niños mayores que pueden leer, muchas veces copian las parábolas de la Biblia, colocan en un orden las oraciones del Rito del Bautismo, o trabajan con una tira muy larga que muestra la Historia del reino de Dios.
